Our iPhones quickly become catchalls for selfies, pet videos, games, music, and unused apps. It’s all too easy to clutter your iPhone, leaving you with limited storage.
Are you wondering how to declutter an iPhone? Thankfully, it’s an easy process.
Here are three ways to declutter your phone in ten minutes or less.

1. Offload Unused Apps
Did you know that around one-in-four people abandon an app after only using it once? Chances are that you have at least a few apps you don’t use anymore, so declutter your iPhone and remove them.
iOS devices have a useful feature that lets you offload apps you aren’t using. You get to keep all your data and documents, but you save valuable storage space.
To enable this feature, simply follow these steps:
- Go to Settings
- Tap iTunes & App Store
- Scroll down to Offload Unused Apps and turn it on
This feature removes unused apps after a period of inactivity. You can easily reinstall the app if you need it, as long as it’s still on the App Store.
2. Go Through Your Contacts
When was the last time you looked at your contacts list?
Open up your contacts and see if you have any old numbers and contact information stored there. If you recently moved, you might still have the numbers for your old pizza place or the email of an old coworker you used to work with.
If you’re worried about accidentally deleting someone important, consider saving your contacts to a sim card first. You’ll definitely want to do this first if you’re transferring data to a new phone.
3. Delete Old Photos
One of the best tips you can follow to free up space is to declutter iPhone photos and videos.
Delete duplicate photos to open up some space on your phone. Go through your pics and get rid of all those old photos you don’t want anymore, like that picture of your delicious burger that you sent to your best friend last month. If you don’t think you’re going to look at them again, take those pics off your phone.
Do the same with your videos. If you don’t want to delete these photos and videos permanently, you can back them up first and then free up some space on your device.
Don’t think your photos take up that much room? Check out the “iPhone Storage” setting on your phone to double-check. Here, you can see which apps, photos, attachments, and more take up the most space.
